Car Transport Terms & Conditions

Car Nut Transport is a registered trading name of Verge3 Pty Ltd ABN 40 120 135 499.

Car Nut Transport facilitates the transport of motor vehicles between any two places located anywhere in Australia using contracted carriers.

In the instances where Car Nut Transport uses the services of a contracted carrier, Car Nut Transport acts as a booking agent only and does not physically move your motor vehicle. All services are carried out by professional vehicle moving companies or contractors. You are bound by their terms and conditions of carriage.

Car Nut Transport accepts no responsibility for any of the actions or suggestions of contracted carriers or their failure to deliver to the agreed terms. Car Nut Transport cannot and will not accept any responsibility for the outcomes of their contracted carriers. Car Nut Transport cannot and will not be held liable for any of the business practices of their contracted carriers.

Delivery, transit and ‘available from’ dates

Car Nut Transport does not guarantee delivery times or promises made by their contracted carriers. Transit times are provided by the individual contracted carriers and are estimates only. Transit times and dates of pickup and delivery provided to you in the quote and booking may vary dramatically due to peak periods, acts of nature and backlogs etc. Do not plan holidays, trips and/or meetings etc using estimated transit times. 

At the point of booking you will be asked to nominate a date that the vehicle will be available from. Your vehicle will be collected on the next available schedule as close to that date as possible. Nominating a date does not mean your vehicle will be collected on that specific date. All interstate vehicle carriers, work according to set schedules.  Your motor vehicle will be booked on the schedule with availability as close to your nominated date.  Please note that during summer and peak periods, availability may be several weeks away so we advise booking at least 2 weeks in advance.  Should you wish alternative dates than those we give you at the time of booking, we will happily search for next available dates with other carriers but additional carrier charges may apply for the transport.

Estimated transit times start from the time we collect the vehicle, not the time when a booking is made. If your vehicle is not ready for collection or you are not flexible with dates, please do not place a booking.

Quarantine

All motor vehicles travelling into Western Australia and Tasmania go through a quarantine process which is a legal requirement. It requires that all vehicles must be free of dirt and cleaned prior to loading.  Please ensure that your vehicle is well cleaned and free of dirt prior to pick up. Unfortunately, if your vehicle is found to be in breach of this regulation Car Nut Transport will charge the booking credit card $150 for the quarantine clean and any fines that may be imposed by the regulatory body and the carrier.  This process may hold up the delivery of your vehicle.

Insurance or Warranty

All prices quoted by Car Nut Transport include fuel levy, GST and Transit Warranty (if provided) by the contracted carrier. You are bound by the individual contracted carriers terms and conditions. Please refer to their individual terms and conditions of carriage and warranty details. A copy may be provided on the reverse side of their condition report and/or transit paperwork. Please contact Car Nut Transport immediately should you wish to increase the warranty value for your vehicle or you would like to organise your own transit insurance/warranty. Please refer to each contract carriers warranty for full details. Goods in vehicles, after market accessories, modified items etc, are not covered under any warranty.

All warranty claims must be addressed directly with the contracted carrier/s and not Car Nut Transport. Car Nut Transport is not liable and accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to your motor vehicle while in transit with their contracted carriers. Please note that an excess may apply. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the warranty cover, please contact us for their full Terms and Conditions. Please note:  non-running vehicles are not covered by any warranty and travel solely at your own risk.

Condition of vehicle for transport

All vehicles booked as drivable vehicles must have steering, brakes, handbrake, battery and wheels/tyres in full working order, no modifications or damages, all windows and windscreens intact and all seats in place and secured so your vehicle can be driven on and off the transporter. Please advise Car Nut Transport immediately should your vehicle not meet any of the above-mentioned requirements or you have any questions relating to this. Vehicles deemed as non-runners require specialised carriers who utilise tilt trays and winches so it is vitally important that you advise Car Nut Transport immediately should you think your vehicle may be deemed a non-runner.  Non-running vehicles are not covered by any warranty whatsoever and travel solely at your own risk.  Non-running vehicles cannot be checked for condition.  No vehicle, including non-running vehicle can be checked for under carriage pre-existing damage.

All vehicles must be empty of all personal possessions unless previously arranged at time of booking otherwise vehicles will not be transported. This includes spare car parts, luggage, CD’s and sunglasses etc. Please advise Car Nut Transport immediately should you require assistance with transporting of personal possessions. Please note that any personal goods authorised to travel with the vehicle are not covered under the carriers warranty policy – Goods always travel at own risk.

Bookings Cancellations and Refunds

Transport must be paid in full to Car Nut Transport before Car Nut Transport will arrange and confirm transport with their contracted carriers. Once the booking is confirmed we will allocate a date as close as possible to the date you have told us that the vehicle is ready for transport.

Booking cancellations attract a cancellation fee of up to $150. If cancellation is made within 3 business days of pickup, the entire booking charge is non-refundable.  It is at the sole discretion of the Car Nut Transport Manager should a fee be reduced for any reason.  Further charges may also apply for futile collections or motor vehicles deemed as non-drivable.

Car Nut Transport reserves the right to cancel or decline bookings at any time without explanation. This includes declining any quoted price generated by the online quoting system, that has either been accepted or paid for.

Other

Car Nut Transport reserves the right to change or amend any of our Terms and Conditions without notification.
